Personalized Medicare Reviews Offered

One-on-one appointments for Medicare recipients, or individuals applying for Medicare coverage in 2019, are available October 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at UH Samaritan on Main, 663 East Main Street in Ashland.

Volunteer counselors and Ohio Department of Insurance staff, trained in Medicare and the Medicare Part D Annual Coordinated Election of Benefits, will: evaluate Medicare recipient’s current drug plans; show recipient’s their choices of plans; help recipients change their plan for 2018, if they wish; assist recipient’s applying for Part D Low Income Subsidy Assistance; assist with Medicare Savings Plan application forms; and provide community resource information.

In addition to the prescheduled appointments, a Medicare specialist from the Ohio Department of Insurance will share a group presentation, “Medicare Check Up Event:  A Personalized Review,” at 10 a.m. on October 26. An in-depth question and answer session will follow the program, which is also held at UH Samaritan on Main.

The talk includes a comprehensive review of Medicare Parts A, B, C and D as it applies to members’ needs, and individual needs.
