Dr. Megan Oberhauser Joins UH Samaritan

Megan Oberhauser, D.O., recently joined University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center’s medical staff. She is accepting new patients, age 18 years and older, at 419-207-2750. Her practice, UH Samaritan Primary Care, is located at 53 Sugarbush Court in Ashland.

Dr. Oberhauser specializes in Internal Medicine that includes the comprehensive care of chronic diseases such as diabetes and COPD, and acute illnesses like the common cold.

Dr. Oberhauser recently completed her residency at UH Parma Medical Center. She earned her undergraduate degree at Wright State University in 2010 and her medical diploma from Pennsylvania’s Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2014.

As a strong advocate of preventive medicine, Dr. Oberhauser is looking forward to developing relationships with her patients.

“While at Parma, I met doctors who had been caring for the same patients for 20 years,” Dr. Oberhauser explained. “I’d like to build a practice that encourages the same long-term relationships, and Ashland affords me with the opportunity to do so.”

Even as a young girl, Dr. Oberhauser knew she wanted to be a doctor. Specializing in internal medicine seemed to be the perfect fit for her because “it’s a good combination of everything, and I like variety.”

Dr. Oberhauser’s husband, Zach, owns his own business, Oberhauser Certified Welding. The couple live in Loudonville with their young son, Wyatt. In Dr. Oberhauser’s free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, knitting, creating handmade cards, helping her husband with his welding projects, and horseback riding.
