Exercise for Older Adults Class

University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center is hosting an “Exercise for Older Adults” series that focuses on health and exercise for older adults. Each class in the series will be held at UH Samaritan’s Rehabilitation facility, 2163 Claremont Avenue, at 6:30 p.m.

Physical, occupational and speech therapists will teach participants simple, home-based exercises as well as healthy lifestyle tips that are shown to slow the aging process. The class schedule is as follows: “Neck, Back, and Posture” presented on November 13 by Greg Luecht; “Parkinson’s Disease” presented on November 20 by Holly Barker and Alicia Gottfried; “Flexibility, Walking, Breathing and Aerobic Exercise” presented on December 11 by Wendy Dennison; and “Shoulders, Arms, Wrists, Hands and Fingers” presented on December 18 by Alicia Gottfried and Keeley Shaw.
