Women with Hope
Through the Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group known as “Women with Hope,” mentoring opportunities are available to women who are currently fighting breast cancer.
This unique support group pairs breast cancer patients with breast cancer survivors who dealt with a similar form of breast cancer and treatment. What develops from there is dependent on how much involvement the breast cancer patient would like. Mentors are willing to provide the occasional phone call or attend as many appointments and treatment sessions as possible.
To support the mentors and to assure breast cancer patients’ needs are met, mentors for Women with Hope will meet the third Wednesday of every month at 10 a.m. at the Frank Miller Memorial Building on 4th Street. Breast cancer survivors who would like to serve as mentors can still do so even if they work during the day and can’t attend the monthly meetings.
Please contact the Ashland Christian Health Center at 419-903-0475 if you would like to join Women with Hope, whether you are a breast cancer survivor or a breast cancer patient.
