Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic Therapy services are provided by state licensed physical therapists and physical therapy assistants. Our staff has many years of combined service and continuing education to remain current in treatment provided.

Many patients have benefitted by exercising in our heated (92˚F) pool. The water medium provides resistance, while at the same time, maintaining support through buoyancy. This often allows patients the ability to perform exercises that they were not able to perform on land. The warm temperature aids in relaxation and mobility while enhancing the patient’s performance.

Those suffering from arthritis or fibromyalgia have also benefitted from exercising in the warm water and have experienced improvement in motion, strength, flexibility, and pain reduction. We even have a special community program for this group that was developed by the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program. The program is monitored by certified personnel.

Also available is our Independent Pool Program for former patients. This allows them to continue aquatic exercises even after discharge from a formal therapy program. This is provided at a reasonable monthly rate.
