Stroke has been called a Brain attack, similar to a heart attack, but in the brain. Many people die each year from strokes. Many more do not die, but suffer long-lasting effects.
What is your stroke risk?
June 12 UH Samaritan Medical Center is hosting a Stroke Screening Event.
Join us at the UH Administrative Services Building,
663 East Main Street in Ashland between 4 and 6 pm for free Stroke Risk Assessment, including BMI, Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, and Cholesterol.
Then at 6 PM University Hospital’s Neurologist Dr. Aasef Shaikh will update us on stroke, and take your questions.
June 12, Free Stroke Screenings from 4-6pm, with Dr. Shaikh speaking at 6 pm
UH Administrative Services Building 663 East Main Street

Additionally during this event, Music Therapist Angel Foss will be offering samples of Drums Alive! to introduce us to this great program this program. 
Drums Alive! (For Seniors) classes will then be held every other Wednesday at 1:00 pm through August.
