One-on-one appointments for Medicare recipients, or individuals applying for Medicare coverage in 2011, are available November 16th from noon - 7 p.m. at Samaritan on Main, 663 East Main Street in Ashland.
Volunteer counselors, and Ohio Department of Insurance staff, trained in Medicare and the Medicare Part D Annual Coordinated Election of Benefits, will: evaluate Medicare recipient’s current drug plans; show recipient’s their choices of plans; help recipients change their plan for 2011, if they wish; assist recipient’s applying for Part D Low Income Subsidy Assistance; address other Medicare questions; and provide community resource information.
Prior to these prescheduled appointments, Lynn Heskett, a Medicare specialist from the Ohio Department of Insurance, will share a group presentation, “Medicare Update for 2011,” at 10 a.m. She will facilitate an in-depth question and answer session after her program, which is also held at Samaritan on Main.
Heskett’s talk includes a comprehensive review of Medicare Parts A, B, C and D as it applies to members’ needs, and individual needs.
