According to the American Diabetes Association, 23.6 million children and adults have diabetes, a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Since a diabetics’ quality of life is dictated by important lifestyle choices, such as healthy eating habits, knowledge and awareness is extremely important.
The Diabetes Support Group meets the third Thursday of every month, with the exception of June, July and August. Please call 419-289-0491, ext. 3111 for more information about this support group.
