2008 Community Benefit Report
In 2008, our Outpatient Clinic staff was honored for their overwhelming dedication to the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event. Not only did this team of nurses and friends raise over $15,500, they were recognized with a plaque for raising the most money by a team and also for selling the most luminaries.
Connie Jenkins, Mail Room Courier/Technician at Samaritan Regional Health System, visited children in Rwanda in June of 2008. During her three week trip, she volunteered in the Sonrise Orphanage in Ruhengeri, Rwanda and the Imbabazi Orphanage new Lake Kivu, which borders the Dominican Republic of Congo.
